Truckers & Workers Protest In Ottawa, Govt Rules Risk More Inflation

"The U.S. and Canadian governments should reinstate a vaccine exemption for cross-border truckers to ease supply chain snarls, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney said as a protest convoy arrived in the Canadian capital.

“This policy I don’t think makes any compelling public-health sense, but it will worsen what we know is a growing supply chain issue,” he said.

Kenney’s comments come as a protest convoy descends on Ottawa, with truckers and like-minded activists objecting to lock-down requirements, vaccine mandates and other Covid measures." - read more on Bloomberg here

Breaking Thoughts: With record breaking inflation and supply chain issues, the Canadian Government's position on vaccine mandates for all cross border trucking (including non-Canadians) and the ongoing lockdowns/mandates themselves are all contributing to the acceleration of inflation and shortages.

With >8 different global vaccines, >92% of Canadian adults vaccinated, better treatment process know how, and 2 anti-viral drugs on the way - its time to go back to normal. Countries such as the UK, Denmark and Sweden already have along with many US states.

The protests in Ottawa are a wonderful union of Canadians from many different backgrounds, occupations and ethnicities standing up for what they believe in. They have been peaceful and polite as anyone of the 10s of millions of viewers on Youtube/Twitter/Tiktok saw.

Several famous people and politicians have publicly expressed support for the protest including Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, Jordan Peterson, Zuby the Rapper, Russell Brand, Rob Schneider, Tucker Carlson, Maxime Bernier, Erin O'Toole, Tara Henley, Pierre Poilievre, Avi Yemeni, Scott Moe, Kate Wand and more!

Hopefully, the Government soon embraces common sense, ends the cross border rule and eases other restrictions. Its time to reopen for the sake of kids, teens, human interaction, the economy and our mutual well being!
